About the Role

Reporting to the Principal VCE Vocational Major, the Education Manager provides educational and operational leadership across a growing senior secondary team.

You will lead curriculum delivery, professional learning, wellbeing initiatives, and strategic partnerships—ensuring alignment with MP’s Education Principles and compliance with VCAA, VRQA, and ASQA frameworks. The role plays a critical part in shaping the Melbourne Polytechnic Secondary Precinct and ensuring high-quality student outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a high-performing team of teachers and support staff
  • Drive curriculum andassessment design aligned to MP’s Education Principles
  • Manage program delivery, staffing, enrolments, and compliance systems (e.g., VASS, Strata)
  • Foster a strong culture of professional learning, inclusion and continuous improvement
  • Build meaningful partnerships with students, families, community and industry stakeholders
  • Ensure the program meets all quality, audit and regulatory requirements


Skills and Experience Required

  • Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or eligibility)
  • Relevant postgraduate teaching qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in VCE VM, VCAL or pre-vocational youth education
  • Proven leadership in curriculum, teaching practice and school operations
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, mentoring and team development skills
  • Capacity to lead change, drive innovation, and manage complex programs


Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
